The event series
Known in Finland as TSTOS (Taisteluosasto), Battlegroup has brought together nearly a thousand players from Finland and abroad, from Sweden to Brazil. Games run for several days without resetting the situation; main bases have a night-time ceasefire so players can rest. Dozens of vehicles take part, including real armoured vehicles, off-road vehicles, SUVs and ATVs. Most are in-game and can be destroyed using designated anti-tank weapons. The series is among the longest airsoft events worldwide and the largest in Europe by participant numbers.
The content of the events
The games take place in a fictional world created by game control, combining military simulation, airsoft and roleplay. Players act as soldiers, civilians or members of in-game organisations. Combat factions are led by volunteer squad and platoon leaders, company commanders and battalion commanders.
Partners
Ehasa works with associations including MPK and the Reserve Sports Federation, municipalities including Padasjoki, Hämeenlinna and Jämsä, and the Defence Forces, police, rescue services and Metsähallitus. From 2016 to 2018, MPK course participants helped organise the events as part of the Basics of Organising an Exercise 2 course. They practised organising public events and received Ehasa-funded training, including Finnish Red Cross first-aid and security-steward qualifications. The 2019 event was the first in Padasjoki and the first without MPK cooperation following changes to MPK’s organisation.
Ehasa Oy now runs the events. The cooperation with MPK took place during Ehasa ry’s event operations.
Statistics
In 2026, 729 players attended: 357 played with the Coalition of Nordberg, 346 with the Northern Royal Guard and 26 as civilians.

What is Ehasa?
Ehasa, formerly the East Helsinki Airsoft Association, is a registered association founded in Helsinki. It began with local weekend games and moved to larger events in 2010. It has organised over 50 events across southern and central Finland.
Ehasa organises some of Finland’s largest airsoft events and develops them using player feedback.
Services developed to support the events include the Kuulaportti registration system and Status Ehasa flag tracking. Other event organisers also use these services.
Organisers and volunteer helpers build the event. Their work includes preparing the game area, check-in, chronograph testing, traffic management and running the game.
Ehasa’s events are run by organisers and assistants. At Battlegroup, their tasks include construction, check-in and logistics.
Ehasa ry & Ehasa Oy
Ehasa ry was registered as an association on 7 March 2012. Ehasa Oy was established alongside it, receiving its business ID on 7 December 2025 and entering the Trade Register on 15 January 2026. Ehasa Oy organises the current Battlegroup event.
Ehasa’s organising team grew out of weekend games in Mustavuori, Helsinki, in 2010. The Conquest series began in 2012, and the first TSTOS event took place in Ilveskallio in 2016. Battlegroup moved to Halli in 2024.
Ehasa Oy plans and produces the events. Ehasa ry maintains community services, supports the activities and promotes airsoft in Finland. The association owns half of Ehasa Oy.
