21–24 July Halli, Finland
Vehicle inspections are planned for Wednesday, 15:30–17:30, at the gravel pit of the former Lintulampi base.
The registration area will be expanded. Separate service vehicle permits are removed, and parking areas will be marked on the maps.
Planned changesPlayers Ehasa brings together arrival instructions, faction base locations and information about event services, such as food and saunas.
Arrival and check-in
- Park in the temporary parking area. Bring everything you need for check-in, chronograph testing and purchases. Find the temporary parking area on Players Ehasa.
- For check-in, bring an orange death rag, two faction armbands, ID and a payment receipt if needed. If paying on arrival, bring the ticket payment too. Equipment and merchandise are also available on site from our partners and Ehasa. Bring the exact amount in cash if possible; card payment cannot be guaranteed.

- After check-in, proceed to chronograph testing. Adjust your guns beforehand; testing uses your own BBs. There is no time for adjustments at the testing point.
- After check-in and chronograph testing, you can visit the partners’ stands. Partners also advertise on our website, Discord and Facebook.
- After check-in, drive to your faction’s base to unload. Base locations will be published on Players Ehasa, this website and faction Discord channels, and sent by email. View the illustrated Discord guide
- Ehasa provides HPA refills throughout the game and sells BBs and other small accessories you may need during play. Details of on-site services will be published closer to the event on players.ehasa.org.
Game area
The game takes place at the former Finnish Defence Forces training area in Halli, Jämsä. The game area covers approximately 22 km², or 2,200 hectares. The distance from north to south is almost nine kilometres. The area consists mainly of rocky hills and heath forest, with some bodies of water and drained marshes.
The area has varied woodland terrain. Its road network and terrain contours offer plenty of room for movement and flanking routes.
Because of the area's size, consider using a game vehicle or a bicycle to get around. We still aim to create enjoyable infantry engagements and place objectives so that players face as little unnecessary walking as possible.
What kind of game is Battlegroup?
- Battlegroup combines airsoft, military simulation (milsim) and live-action roleplay. Players decide how demanding they want each aspect of their own game to be. The event is suitable for both newcomers and experienced players.
- Faction leaders assign ongoing operations and shorter missions.
- Gameplay includes movement and waiting as well as combat.
- Respect civilian and other roleplayers during encounters.
- The game lasts over 60 hours. Prepare for long movements and time in the field, changing weather, and carrying food and water.
- Previous airsoft experience is not essential, but military or scouting experience is recommended if this is your first event. If you are unsure about a multi-day game, try smaller events first.
- Connect your own Discord account in Kuulaportti to access your faction’s channels. The bot checks your ticket payment and faction. View the illustrated Discord guide
- The official game languages are Finnish and English.
Chain of command
- Orders pass from the battalion commander through company and platoon leaders to squad leaders. Report in-game problems and requests to your own leader.
- Combat factions play under a chain of command. Follow the orders of your leader.
- Raise concerns with your own leader or, if necessary, their commanding officer.
- Players take part voluntarily. Respect their right to enjoy the game.
- Join your faction’s Discord channel before the event to receive the information you need. View the illustrated Discord guide
Missions, props and story
- Game control acts as the brigade and gives objectives and missions to the battalions. Each battalion commander assigns them to their troops.
- Other in-game characters may offer optional side missions.
- Most missions are listed in the Tasks tab on your faction’s map in status.ehasa.org or the Status Ehasa app.
- Most Ehasa props have a QR code and a web link with information about the item and its rules. Some information is public; some is hidden.
- Public props also appear in the Items tab in Status Ehasa. Hidden props can only be found through their QR code or link.
- Follow the story on the story page, earlier event websites and tstosnews.ehasa.org, and through missions and encounters with civilians. The story develops before and during the event. Some side stories are linked; others are independent. Players’ actions affect what happens next.
- Assign someone in your squad to follow the story and share news with the others.
Game control
- Call game control on +358 400 232 630.
- Game control is available at the check-in area throughout the event.
- Each faction has a designated game master.
- Game masters carry game-master ID cards and wear yellow vests.
Trusted players monitor compliance with the rules and report their observations to game control. You can recognise them by Ehasa’s golden squid emblem. Decisions are always made by Ehasa’s game control.
In-game conduct
- Follow Finnish law, behave respectfully and respect other players’ roleplay.
- Resolve disagreements about hits and other game situations calmly. Report inappropriate behaviour to game control or a trusted player immediately.
- Game control may issue warnings or remove players from the event. Serious rule violations may also lead to a ban from other Ehasa events.
- Suspected crimes, including deliberate damage or theft, and serious public-order incidents are reported to the authorities.
Unclear situations
- Stay calm, even if the other person does not.
- Discuss the situation with the other person and try to reach an agreement.
- If you can’t make an agreement with the other person(s), please contact a game master or a trustee player.
- In serious cases, note the other player’s armband ID and report the incident to game control so both parties can be heard.
Accommodation
- Players camp in their own tents at faction bases or in a location agreed with game control in advance. Reconnaissance platoon players may also camp anywhere in the game area.
- Keep your eye protection on when sleeping in the game area or an in-game base.
- Camper vans are allowed, but leave room for other players. In the civilian village, mark the offgame area around a camper van with tape.
- All command and accommodation tents in bases are offgame.
- Civilians may be allowed to sleep in buildings, depending on the site. Agree this with game control beforehand and clearly mark the building as offgame.
- Do not hide in offgame areas or shoot into or out of them. To eliminate a player inside an offgame area, tell them they are eliminated. They must then display their death rag.
Pregame and aftergame
Pregame and aftergame take place at the check-in area or faction bases before and after the main game.
Adjusting hop-up
Both faction bases and the check-in area have marked hop-up adjustment areas. Do not adjust your guns elsewhere within these sites, to avoid dangerous situations. Find the adjustment areas on Status Ehasa.
Maintenance
- The main faction bases have cold showers with tarpaulins, wet-room mats, basins and rechargeable camping showers. Spare showers are kept charging at headquarters. The check-in area will have the same showers, as well as a hot tub, two small tent saunas and a trailer sauna.
- Water and electricity for charging batteries will be available in all bases.
- Water points, toilets, saunas, rubbish collection and firewood are marked in Ehasa’s Status system and on the event map.
- First aid is available at check-in, with basic supplies at faction HQ tents. You can also call for first aid by phone.
- Bring your own food or use the on-site food services. Camping stoves, disposable grills and other heat sources used on the ground are subject to forest-fire warnings and fire restrictions.
- Take your own rubbish and any litter you find to the collection points at the bases.
- There are toilets at all faction bases and the check-in area. Toilets in the field are marked on Status Ehasa and the game area map. Toilet paper is available from headquarters.
- Game control provides a limited supply of firewood at the bases. Take only what you need for the current and following day, and return any surplus after the event.
- Light fires only at designated sites. Do not build your own fire sites.
- Tell game control on +358 400 232 630 if water, firewood or toilet paper runs out, or rubbish bins are full.
- Food, fuel, pharmacies and accommodation near the game area are listed in the new player guide.
Parking and service cars
- Players can drive their cars to the bases for loading and unloading before and after the game.
- After unloading, move your car to the parking area.
- Game control is not responsible for cars left in the parking areas.
- Offgame vehicles must only be parked in the permitted parking areas marked on the map.
- Separate service-car permits are not used at this event. The maps will show where offgame vehicles may and may not be parked.
- As a courtesy to others, allow no more than two support vehicles per squad in the in-game chain of command, provided there is space for more than one. Here, squad means a unit in the game's military organisation, rather than your own group of friends.
- Support vehicles are intended to make travel between the check-in or parking area and the faction base quicker during the game.
- Parking details will be published closer to the event through Ehasa’s Status and Players services. Bases have designated spaces for service cars.
Injuries and first aid
- In emergency situations call 112, obey the instructions, arrange guidance to the area and inform the game masters.
- Always notify game control by phone. If you are busy responding to the accident, call as soon as you can afterwards.
- When reporting an incident to game control, give the players' names or ID numbers, the vehicle's registration or ID number, and the location as an address, coordinates or a named game location, where possible. Describe what happened, what has already been done and what further help is needed.
- Game masters’ phone number: +358 400 232 630
- Address of the game area: Kessunkuja 2 C, 35600 Halli.
- For emergencies across this large site, game control can guide responders from the Halinkankaantie game-control point to the incident.
- For minor injuries, ask other players, your faction leadership or game control for first aid.
- Report all injuries, including sprained ankles, to game control.
