Coalition of Nordberg
The Coalition of Nordberg (CN) was formed during the civil war by groups seeking to establish a modern democratic government.

At Battlegroup, you are part of a larger force and its shared game. Faction commanders assign missions that infantry, reconnaissance teams and mechanised units carry out together at squad, platoon, company and battalion level. Players’ decisions shape how the action and the story develop.
The event combines MILSIM (Military Simulation) with elements of LARP (Live Action Role Play). You decide how deeply you want to immerse yourself in the game world. Both newcomers and experienced players are welcome.
Alongside the fighting, the game includes long movements, reconnaissance and everyday life at the base. Sometimes you wait for orders or maintain your equipment; at other times you head out on a new mission. Civilian characters and encounters bring role-playing and events beyond the battles.
The game lasts over 60 hours, so plan for rest, food and drinking water before you arrive. Most players stay at their faction’s base, where they maintain equipment and prepare for their next missions. Be ready for changeable weather and long days in the forest.
Because the game is demanding, the age limit is 18. Players aged 16–17 may apply for special permission to attend with adult players. Send a free-form application to info@ehasa.org.
More about the eventThe event has two main combat factions of nearly equal strength, distinguished by blue and yellow armbands. The commanders will be announced later. The civilian faction consists of a small group of game masters and selected assistants.
The story of Nordberg
The Coalition of Nordberg (CN) was formed during the civil war by groups seeking to establish a modern democratic government.

The Northern Royal Guard (NRG) brings together those who want to restore the Nordholm royal family as the rulers of Nordberg.

The Northern Iron Rule (NIR) took power from the Nordholm royal family in 1956 but collapsed during the latest civil war. Some members of the former government and army remain loyal to the Iron Rule.

The civilian faction (CIV) consists of game control representatives and selected assistants. They play several different characters during the event and create encounters with the other factions.

Battlegroup takes place at the Finnish Defence Forces’ former Halli training area in Jämsä. Its extensive road network, elevation changes and varied terrain allow different types of units to fight.

All 10 changes
01 / 10The civilian faction will consist of a small group of game masters and a few selected assistants. This allows us to focus on the quality and variety of encounters and try a different approach to civilian gameplay.

02 / 10Next year, we will focus on respawn areas. Some of them and other objectives will be placed closer together with infantry gameplay in mind. Elsewhere, the distances between flag points will increase, making those areas more suitable for mechanised forces.

03 / 10We plan to add a few capturable FOBs around the map. They would provide respawn points and water, and possibly some small structures. Capturing them would take longer than normal objectives. They could also be upgraded through missions. For example, enabling vehicle respawns at a FOB could require a specific in-game item.

04 / 10The old parking area inside the game area will become the main base of one faction. The former Lintulampi base would then return to the active game area.

05 / 10ATVs will no longer be allowed to have machine guns, anti-tank weapons or homemade protective shields built into the vehicle itself.

06 / 10When an engineer clears an enemy mine, they mark its carrying handle with a cable tie in their faction’s colour. The tie may be removed and the mine reused only after it has been taken to the faction’s HQ or rebuilt by a civilian player with the required special ability.
